We'll pick you up at the border or the airport in Tijuana, from where we'll head straight to El Vallecito, the northernmost of the cave painting sites on the peninsula. Later we'll move on to Ensenada for our first night, not before stopping off for some wine tasting and other surprises in the Valle de Guadalupe.
Today we head south along the coast past San Quintin, before the highway cuts inland near El Rosario. We overnight at Cataviña, in the heart of the spectacular Valle de Los Cirios, where we'll visit our second cave painting site.
Continuing our southward journey we cross into Baja California Sur at Guerrero Negro for a whale watching trip to Laguna Ojo de Liebre. Then we head inland through the Desierto de Vizcaíno (another World Heritage Site) to the idyllic oasis town of San Ignacio.
Today we'll spend the day in the UNESCO-protected Sierra de San Francisco to view some of the huge cave paintings and petroglyphs that can be found there. Later we'll travel down the Cortez coast via Santa Rosalía before spending the night at Mulegé.
On day five we make our excursion to the San Borjitas cave paintings near Mulegé, before exploring further south along the Cortez coast, passing through the beautiful Bahía Concepción en route to Loreto.
We head off into the mountains near Loreto to visit the mission at San Javier, before heading down for our final night in La Paz.
Our tour ends. Unless you're staying for the Northbound Nature Tour we will transfer you to La Paz airport or the nearby port of Pichilingue, for you to start your return journey or continue your travels. Bon voyage!
We´ll pick you up from La Paz airport or the nearby ferryport of Pichilingue and take you to the hotel for your first night in La Paz.
An aquatic day in La Paz starts with a boat trip to see the Whale Sharks in La Paz Bay, where you can snorkel with them. Then we head on to Isla Espíritu Santo, where this time you can snorkel with sea lion pups.
Today we make our way north to Loreto, not before a detour to Puerto Adolfo Lopez Mateos to visit the first of the whale watching lagoons on the Pacific coast.
We embark on a half-day cruise amongst the dolphins, sea lions and other wildlife of Loreto Bay. On return we'll head north along the Cortez coast, passing through Bahía Concepción, Mulegé and Santa Rosalía en route to San Ignacio.
We head towards the Pacific coast through the Desierto de Vizcaíno (a World Heritage Site) to Guerrero Negro, where we embark on another whale watching trip to Laguna Ojo de Liebre. If you're doing both tours you have the option of a visit to the nearby salt dunes or the bird sanctuary. From there we head north to Cataviña, in the heart of the spectacular Valle de Los Cirios.
We head for the sea lion sanctuary near San Quintin, before continuing up the Pacific coast to Punta Banda to see La Bufadora. Our last night is in Ensenada.
We will transfer you the short distance up the spectacular Pacific coast to Tijuana, for you to start your return journey or continue your travels. We´ll take you to the airport or the border crossing for San Diego, if required. Bon voyage!
