Located in an impressive modern building, the museum is on the Mex 3 highway which forms the backbone of "La Ruta del Vino", about 30 minutes from the centre of Ensenada. The entrance is on the lower of the two floors and the fee is just 50 pesos for adults. Opening hours are 9-5, Tuesday to Friday.
3. Identity and Industry
The next two sections, "Identity" and "Industry" look at the process of wine production and wine tasting, with views of the valley providing a scenic backdrop.
An gallery of wine-inspired art is the fourth section. Grape graphics, if you will...
5. The Building
Upstairs there are a few more exhibits at the entrance to a large function room, which is used for conferences, weddings, etc. A lift to the upper floor is also available.
Outside more large equipment is on display, and behind the building there is a small amphitheatre.
This museum is a great stop off point between wineries, an opportunity to learn a little and clean your palette in a well-designed environment.
Visit the museum with us on one of our tours of the Baja California peninsula. Choose between a Southbound Ancient Art Tour or a Northbound Nature Tour, or do them both! They each include a trip to the museum and wine tasting in a nearby winery. More information on our front page.
